Electric window controls
« on: November 02, 2015, 08:43:22 am »

Had my car about 2 months now and I am loving it, but I am confused about the electric window controls.
My son (age 4) loves to play with the windows when he is the back seat. The first time he discovered the button, he put the window down while driving along the motorway. I hit the window lock button and then tried to bring his window back up, but I was unable. I had to hit the button again to unlock all the window, then close his window and then lock the windows again. The only window that I can operate when the windows are locked from the  drivers seat is my own window.
Is this correct?
Any other car I have had the drivers window locking function still allows you operate all the windows from the drivers seat even if they are locked.

What you are experiencing is absolutely normal for the Mazda method of window control.  You will only be able to control the drivers window if you have locked the others using the master lock button.
