Front and rear under garnish
« on: October 19, 2016, 07:17:12 pm »
Hi all, just joined the forum and after so advice  :) , I have just purchased from a certain auction site the front and rear under garnishes for my cx5, has anyone used the Mazda glue kit they recommend to fit them, if so is it an easy job ?? Or do you have any other recommendations as to how to fit them. Any help gratefully received.

Hi G12rys, not done this mod but I have always used Tiger Seal to bond panels and fittings on in the past, pretty good stuff and I have never had anything fall off after.

Have some tape ready to make sure their is no movement between panels and body once applied.

I'd guess if your glue kit is a PU type glue it should be fine --WEAR GLOVES THO !!

Thanks SmileyT, I should have listened, I went with the Mazda glue, not the easiest to apply and managed to get more over me than on the garnishes :( ,but the end result looks good (in my opinion). I'm now toying with the running boards, so following your thread on that.
