Rear seat fixings.
« on: August 19, 2017, 02:56:30 pm »
Hi, I dropped the back seats down to move a large item. When I tried to put seats back up the passenger side one wont latch back on. The  release button doesn't pop back up. I've had a look at catch mechanism from the back and nothing there is jamming. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

In instances such as yours I usually resort to using a big hammer although I would understand your reluctance to heed my advice. Alternatively you could try working the seat up and down a few times followed by heftily pushing it into the retaining slot. If that fails then probably calling into the workshop would be more advisable.

Have you checked to make sure nothing has slipped underneath the back of the seat back that is preventing it from fully returning to the latched position?
