Aftermarket Mud Flaps
« on: March 06, 2019, 07:43:33 am »
I appreciate a lot of owners have gone with the unbelievably priced Mazda ones but I decided I'd risk £15 on a set of these which took nearly 4 weeks to arrive from China.

It turns out there was no risk whatsoever as they fit a treat, match the rest of the body plastics and even have the little contour that fits in between the base of the front wing & the sill.  Job done and £60 saved, nothing ventured nothing gained, sweet   :D

Do they screw or clip into exsistimg holes? We are getting a lease CX-5 and I worry they might not like me drilling into it!

They attach via the existing trim fixings

They attach via the existing trim fixings

Ive just received my set but as theres no fitting instructions Im just wondering how you fitted them! Did you use the fixings that came with the mudflaps or did you reuse the existing fittings? I see that the holes line up and you might need to remove the excess plastic from some of the holes but I don't seem to have enough new fixings to replace all the existing plastic trim rivets!

Any help most welcome!

I didn't use the ones that came with the mudflaps, I re used the originals that came out without damaging them plus some I already had.
