speed camera warnings

Hi new to the forum; awaiting delivery of a new CX-5 2.0L Petrol GT version; currently
a Qashqai driver.
Did try SEARCH here but saw no answer on this topic: does anyone use the pocketgps speed cameras database?
If so 2 questions:

• which version of pocketgps's database do I need to select from their drop down? (as attachment)
  
  
• how does one load it into car's POI's?

I look forward to picking up tips here

Hi,welcome to forum sorry i dont know the answer to your question but may i say that if you stick to the speed limits you will have no need for camara warnings it becomes irrelevant.

Perhaps nobody knows. I’ve never heard of it. You're car will have Carplay so you can run Waze which has speed camera warnings.

The forum is usually quite active when people have something to share. I suspect as Anchorman suggests that no-one is familiar with that product.

I thought on CX-5 that TomTom was the SatNav provider- perhaps not?

TomTom is the provider for the early CX5's so why have pocketgps? (Whatever that is).The TomTom maps already have the speed camera locations (ahem, sorry "safety camera") database. You might also need to subscribe to the live traffic function. I can't remember now as it's a long time since I used TomTom.

Thanks; the benefit of pocketgps database is that it's updated EVERY Thursday.

The maps are supplied by “here” iirc used to be NavTeq, the “safety” cameras are pretty accurate, having said that I tend to use Google maps now through Android Auto and they have recently introduced safety camera warnings. I stopped using the pocketgps pack about four/five years ago when every lay-by bridge etc would warn as a possible camera site.

Currently my Qashqai's map data is from "HERE" too, but their database that Nissan
supply (via SD card updates) is often outdated.
I last bought a new Nissan SD card in 2016,
and it still shows locally an Esso Garage that became an ALDI over 10 years ago

Strange, when you go to HERE map website, it clearly shows as an ALDI; I did complain
to HERE on the anomaly, and they just passed off to Nissan, and it said they checked maps before issue; very much doubt they have capability

Fortunately on Qashqai forum there's a member, who works for a Nissan dealer in Russia, and
due to good exchange rates, they're normally 40% cheaper than buying from dealer here

Obviously, BMW and Audi drivers have a lot of "Fun" especially when cut out of their car wreckage by the emergency services. The emergency services find it "fun" to piece together severed heads and limbs to bodies in a crash. I hope you were being tongue in cheek.

I would have to agree with Jonno21. Speeding is foolhardy, selfish and dangerous. I have had the misfortune to have to deal with the bodies following vehicle crashes. No fun there at all, just pain and misery. Then you compounded your lack of judgement with your 'get over yourself' comment. Please show a bit more respect for the other users on this forum. There are plenty of forums out there for anyone who wishes to insult or be insulted by others.
