Saving an Edited route in Favourites

Hi.

I have a route that I use across France which I set up using a series of Waypoints.

What I've not been able to find out from the manual, is how to 'save' the route, including the waypoints.

Does have anyone have any solution to this, other than just adding the waypoints each time I make the journey as I do currently.

I may be wrong, but I thought I saw this on my screen.  Once I had completed a route and got to my destination, I cancelled it and was asked if I wanted to either clear or retain the route. I imagined that by retain, they mean save.

Yes - I remember that prompt but if you cancel a route it's just a check to see if you meant to cancel it.  The 'keep' just means it carries on from where it was before the 'cancel' operation.

If I recall correctly, once you reach the planned destination, the guidance finishes, the destination disappears but is held in the history. If the planned destination doesn't agree with where the destination actually is (quite often the case), then it will nag you to complete the journey upon restart. I've never seen a way to save a specific route (with or without way-points) on either the MZD or TomTom based systems, you can only save destinations.
