In what context does Rule/Regulation 20 apply to the forum?

It was included as protection and a pathway to action if required, in case of any potential derogatory racist/ gender remarks. We have a female contingent of members and are a world wide community.

These Rules were laid down 6 years ago. Items/pictures that are now not deemed as socially acceptable, differ considerably from what was OK 2013.  So in view of the current social situation regarding gender equality, they were a worthwhile pre-consideration when promulgated and I think still apply today.  You will find that many other forums have a similar clause.

Thank you for taking the time to read the posting.

Rule 20 seems incredible. It demeans women.

I suggest it is amended to " Respect each other. Move on to another thread instead of giving negative comments."

Thank you for the detailed response.

Taking into account that:

We have a female contingent of members and are a world wide community.

perhaps it could be reworded to become more inclusive and less archaic?

EDIT - sorry, didn't see twabrigs' post.

As I have previously stated, the Rules were established 6 years ago and reflect the situation as it was then. They were not intended to demean anyone at all. In fact this rule was intended to take action against anyone demeaning the female gender.

However I totally understand that social interpretations have changed in the intervening years and I shall adapt this ruling accordingly.

Understood Will - these things can be well meant but actually over time be interpreted the opposite way.

I'm no Daily Mail fan but this story shows how NatWest presumably meant well but hit the wrong note just this week https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7058711/Women-blast-sexist-Natwest-adverts.html
