Bluetooth
« on: April 10, 2014, 06:07:21 pm »
I am now the proud and happy owner of my new CX5 as of two days ago. I am having a problem with the Bluetooth system when I pair my mobile phone to the car. It pairs successfully, but then refuses to download the Phonebook, I wondered if any one else had suffered this problem. The strange thing is that due to delivery problems I was given a CX5 courtesy car to use until my car arrived. I paired my mobile and downloaded the Phonebook with no problem at all. So the fault seems to be with the new car. I have tried all the usual tricks of deleting and starting again etc., but all to no avail.

Same problem for me on delivery. Changed my Nokia windows phone to a Samsung Galaxy mini to see what would happen. Still have the same problem, given up! The Samsung works fine if a call comes in, but have to dial the number from the phone.

I had this problem as well but it was overcome by a trip to my dealer where they just 'powered down' the whole bluetooth system, left it for about 15 minutes and then re-powered and since then all is OK - Hope that helps

Have a similar problem with the message reader. Paired the phone and the first time I requested a download of messages it was fine but everytime subsequently the download 'failed'. Have un-paired the phone and paired it again but still doing the same thing - OK the first time then wont download.

I have the dreaded Blackberry Z10 which doesn't work with most things. (pity - it is a good phone if it was only better supported)
I get the message that the phonebook cannot be downloaded, but go back later and it is all available anyway!
However I also get asked if I want to download messages, but they always fail.
Handbook suggests this will not always work. I have not checked, but it may also fail intentionally if you are driving.

I still get intermittent problems with the Bluetooth.
Audio connects OK but not the phone.
Then the phone connects but the phone book download fails.
Happened a few days ago.
I stopped and switched off the engine for a few minutes.
Then everything was working fine.
Why do I have to agree to something every time I go to the Sat Nav? drives me mad.

My issue is more with the sound quality when the phone's connected - it's really "tinny" and audio adjustment seems to make no difference

I have had messages that the phonebook could not be downloaded from my Blackberry Z10.
Switch off the car for a few minutes then switch on again and everything works OK.
Only thing that doesn't work is downloading messages, but the manual suggests this doesn't always work.
