Had a look at the CX9 on the Mazda USA site and wow, what a lovely looking car.....absolutely massive and with a 2.5L 250bhp petrol engine as well!
But as per usual not coming here and even if it did will only be bloody diesel variants!

Who knows, if diesel starts getting hammered for tax, maybe large petrols will become viable here.

Had a 3.7 V6 CX-9 for 3 years whilst living in the Middle East.   Absolutely loved it and would seriously consider getting one if they came to the UK.   It was the reason we went for a CX-5 when we returned to the UK.

Before buying my present CX-5 i was considering the high powered BMW X1 petrol, well over 200ps and with excellent torque for towing, europe gets it we don't.

The one we get really isnt what i want for towing but would be fine for solo driving.
Was 2013 Mazda CX-5 175 AWD sport nav Man 1663kg
Now 2015 Mazda CX-5 175 AWD sport nav Auto 1703 kg.
 Towing a 1565kg Bailey Valencia 2011 model.

I did as well, but as you say...not available in this country, but the active tourer has it here...just don't understand some manufacturers policies!!
