I had the same issue. Your 3 years subscription is safe. Ring up Mazda Handsfree and they will be able to check. The original European Map with the car Includes Turkey and Russia, If you renew without including Turkey and Russia the Mazda Toolbox thinks you have bought a different map. Apparently, it is a bug  ::) which they hope to fix with an update.

Just checked for updates & Mazda toolbox is telling me that my connected services are expired. Trouble is I purchased 3 years worth in January & the SD card diagnostics shows an up to date subscription, I can't proceed with anything however & the only options available to me are 'renew' which takes me to a purchase screen or' later' which opens a screen with a button that allows me to check for updates, this takes me back to the screen that tells me I've expired. Aarrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Just had exactly the same issue, been trying to resolve this with Mazda UK who have just emailed me to say:-
"Thank you for the further email. We do not hold an email address for Mazda Hands-free as it is a Germany based company. Please use the contact us webpage or 00800 4263 7383."
I'd already tried the web contact form but got nowhere as the standard questions you have to answer to get through the form don't fit these circumstances...

There appears to be a new map update available for Europe.  I went into the Mazda Toolbox today and it downloaded and installed one dated December 2016.

File size increased marginally from 6786mb to 6898mb.

Cheers Deepjoy, also downloaded and the 'new' road on my commute is now included. Happy days!

Have now managed to log back into the mapping update system (having uninstalled and reinstalled Toolbox) and it's now let me download the December 2016 mapping update. It's saying it's using 6789MB of 7572MB available on the SD card.

Currently 26% installed and I need to leave the office in 30 minutes...

Just downloaded July 2017 MZD map update today. File size has increased so hopefully some good updated stuff in there.
