Leather interior

Hi all,
I'm currently looking for a Sport Nav but my budget of 10k is proving a tad tricky, my thoughts are would a leather interior fit in the standard Nav model and are there provisions for the electronic functions ?

A strange question but leather seats were on my wish list but fund restrictions

I would think you would be better off getting one with leather already as it would certainly be expensive to buy a leather interior for the car as there aren't many being broken at the moment.  To be fair though I don't think that I have seen a cx5 without leather.

As above, cant imagine there are many cars being broken so a leather interior will cost you. Also i doubt the wiring would be present for the electric seat and no switches etc... for the heated function... Probably better off looking for a high mile car the leathers that fits into your budget... Out of interest, why do you specifically want leather? When we were looking for ours, leather was a must for us because we both have a bad back and needed heated seats, which only come with leather...

Wasn't there an SE-L Lux with heated seats?  I think they were cloth, but maybe I'm wrong.

Theoretically you could unbolt the seats from their frames and swap them over. Thus you'd end up with manually operated leather seats, without being heated. The wiring might be there for all the electrics, but maybe not. Alternatively perhaps you could swap out your cloth seat covers for leather ones, and still have manually operated leather.

From when I was shopping for an early CX-5 petrol in November I generally concluded that like-for-like the Sport was priced about £1k more than the non-Sport models.  I think they were around £2k more new so that seems about right.  The downside being that there are a lot less petrol CX-5s around (if that's what you're after). 

Anyway, I would suggest that you'd be much better off paying the extra to get a car with leather seats as I think you'd struggle to convert a non-leather car to leather for less than £1k.  You should also factor in when you come to sell you're unlikely to get any premium for doing this whilst you would still get some of the premium back if you bought a Sport at the start.

SE-L Lux was heated leather seats i believe but not sure if you could get them pre face lift? We decided on a Sport Nav in the end because the more i looked into them the more i wanted all the toys like the safety pack... Also wanted an Auto Diesel AWD, which most were fully loaded Sport Navs. Ended up with a 175 Sport Nav AWD Auto in Zeal red which i love and very glad i paid the extra for the car i really wanted

Thanks all, after lunch looking into it further I've also got the airbags to contend with but did find a complete leather interier for £600 on fleabay. The leather was mainly because when have a dog. I'm thinking the best option is to save a few more pennies and just go for the Sport option, I do prefer the extra refinements to be honest.

Wow nothing is getting through those liners, I'd probably get one of those anyway, especially when she's been for a run on the beach..

I use a sloped crate in the boot for our dog when we are walking him somewhere dirty, means the mess is contained to the crate and the car doesnt get dirty

Well happy to say I've just put a deposit down on a Sport, shall be picking up very soon.
Getting rather excited I have to say
