It just shows how little accurate information Mazda dealers have when a question is asked in my previous post:  “I believe the previous statement is incorrect – having spoken to Portfield Mazda of Chichester, so I will be fitting beam deflectors again this year when I go to France.”
Hopefully we can see the beam pattern this time in the word doc attached!- wrong now in PDF form and can be viewed, but dont bother printing it as the yellow seems to vanish on my printer.........

Interesting pictures... This might explain why the high-beam has such poor 'reach' using the LED adaptive headlamps.  On all my other vehicles, the high beams will illuminate 100+ metres of the road ahead, whilst the CX-5 will only do about 50-60 meters at best.  It is a very bright 50-60 meters, but it doesn't cast onto the horizon to let you know of upcoming bends or objects in the road.   I do find that not using the adaptive functionality and just the manual high-beam does seem to improve the distance that i can see ahead, but I do wish that the high beam shone further out into the distance.

Opinions?
