Maybe it's because I live in Scotland and it's generally too cold to consider even opening the windows at all (!) but I don't think I've had the rain problem you've described. Lots of chat on an American Mazda forum about wind deflectors and the aesthetic merits thereof.

Yes it does although in fairness to Mazda this happens with all modern cars that no longer have the old fashioned rain gutter which in reality is most all cars.
