Mirror fuse
« on: September 18, 2018, 07:13:30 pm »
As my o/s mirror is damaged, and while I'm waiting for a replacement, I need to stop the wretched mirror motor from constantly trying to move the thing in and out. The manual says Fuse 10 (7.5amp) in the LH side fusebox is the one, but removing it makes no difference (to the o/s mirror anyway). Anyone know where there is another fuse? It's driving me mad!

can you reach the connector and separate? or cut the supply cable close to the motor?

Perhaps the fuse you found is for the mirror heating?
The mirrors can be folded in after the ignition is switched off.  I'm pretty sure that function is only active for a limited number of seconds - just like the electric windows.  Perhaps try the electric windows fuse in case they're on the same circuit.
