Bose speaker in boot
« on: January 16, 2020, 02:56:45 pm »
I have just put a space saver tyre in the boot, but the wheel is higher than the cover, so when I put the Bose unit into the wheel, it sticks up even higher. I can put up with the extra height with just the spare.
Is the Bose unit all that important???

I've got a space saver and the kit that came with it allowed the bose sub to be fitted without it being any higher than originally.

Yup me too, the subwoofer sits lower enough for the cover to be flush.

Looks like I didn't get the correct spare wheel. In the meantime, I have left the Bose unit out and it doesn't appear to make any difference. But then I don't have my volume up at "head banging" range.

I have a full size spare ( I tow a Caravan) in our car this raises the floor by about 2", I removed the boot speaker to gain exrtra storage, the sound is not any different to me.
