Anyone having problems with theirs at the moment? Mine is not working at all, either the bar on the RH side doesn't appear at all, or it appears with just a yellow triangle with a ! in it.

Should have updated my original post; it started working again a few days ago of its own accord. This was after a couple of days of a red screen with a message saying "TomTom could not establish a wireless data connection" appearing. There was a period about two years ago where the whole system fell over for about 6 weeks which was down to two of the companies involved in the systems not talking to one another, but that was fixed successfully.

Have never had the Live service (bought a demonstrator and the 3 month trial had just expired). Is it really worth it?

I find the Live service worthwhile as it constantly updates the road conditions on the fly and re-routes you as necessary. It's got me round quite a few incidents in the past. It also allows you to search for places that may not be in the database. Having said that, bear in mind that it's a different subscription to the mapping updates. As mine is a company car, I don't have to pay this myself so it's a bit hard to answer the question as to whether it's worth it. The new (2015 onward) models come with a three year mapping subscription anyway.
