I won't post the link  ;) but if you search Google for 'mazdas 247 cargo light' you'll find a US forum thread about boot light options as well.

Thanks for reply Richard, and the link that's just what I would like to fit, when it says plug and play does that mean that there's a connection already there to plug into? As for the gap you can see the gap in a couple of your pics, it won't bother 99% of people but I find it draws the eye if you know what I mean.just a little project I want to sort.

I can't imagine there being a connection in the tailgate wiring already, I can't think of anything in there that would need a tailgate-switched connection. It would probably need wiring back to the existing boot light.

Not a lot to add but today the Cx-5 got a quick wash...
... And some carbon fibre effect sill protectors, these are only stick on but are actually good quality and suit the car really well.  Just need to put the vacuum over the mats now.

I've ordered the same protector for the rear boot lip (from Germany). Which snowfoam do you use?

Yea the sill protectors came from Germany,   sister had the boot one on mazda 5 and it lasted well.
I use chemical guys no touch snow foam but the pic was actually car plan high foam wash (from halfords)  put through snow foam gun.  Works and foams very well. I tend to snow foam car, rinse, then apply shampoo and wash with mitt and 2 buckets.

I bought some 17 inch wheels to equip with winter tyres eventually but the tread was too good to scrap the Yokohamas fitted as original equipment to the previous CX-5.  So the black 19s have come off and the 17s fitted;

While the wheels were off, I sprayed Tetraseal wax behind the liners to complete the coating previously done underneath........

The bumper protector was creased when it came so they are sending me another.

This one isn't exactly what I did to my car but thought I'd chime in anyway. After my other half bringing the Mazda home and showing me a nice cracked chip on the windscreen I decided to take the hit on my insurance excess and have a new windscreen fitted. I can't fault the service I received from Autoglass, it was top notch!

What is interesting is that I'm convinced that the car is now quieter with the new screen! It could be a placebo of course, but having driven the car a few miles since it seems there's less road noise from the front of the car.
The new screen isn't identical to the old one and has markings that weren't on the old one. It's marked 'Nippon Glass' so hopefully it's an OEM screen and perhaps from the 2016 model (which I gather has thicker glass to reduce road noise)

Get your hammers out!  ;)

Raining here today, i'm wanting to put my spare set of wheels on to use the tyres up, i also prefer the old style wheels anyway.

I want a dry day as i take the opportunity to carry out any further paint protection etc.

Ha! It's nice to be missed  ;)
With the amount of detailing kit in the garage I'm not going to run out any time soon. The pollen and Saharan dust currently filling the atmosphere is making life hell for keeping a car clean! So for the most part it's just a quick wash and wax most weekends.
I've also modded everything I wanted to - for now...

I'm still here too  :)
Car is quite dirty at the moment - been busy cleaning other cars for family.

Halfords have a 3 for 2 on car cleaning at the moment so did do a couple of orders to replenish my supplies.

Couldn't leave it dirty any longer so after a wash and coat of autoglym aqua wax it now has its shine back.
