Periodically getting a message saying "front camera blocked". Have had this before but noticed this morning when it happened that the camera window at the top of the screen was misted up - even though the main screen wasn't! Now wondering whether this is connected to having the screen replaced a few months back as it would have been removed and refitted? In hindsight, this has happened more since that was done...

Is the bit of glass over the camera sealed or open to the rest of the screen.

Sounds like it might be sealed and they let moisture get in when they replaced your screen. I would take photos of it misted when the rest of the screen is clear and contact whoever changed your screen

I know what you mean, I wince every time I heat the TIK of something hitting it.

It was serviced on Monday, they've checked it and it's all OK. However, there is a service bulletin from Mazda that says the camera window can "under certain circumstances and weather conditions" mist up. In other words, sh1t happens, you have to live with it. It's not a huge issue, I just wish that, when it happens, it would switch the headlight off main beam automatically as you don't see the warning message if you're concentrating on the road.

joking aisde, how about jamming something really small like a toothpick or part of a cocktail stick under the seal between the sensor area and the proper screen which would let it 'breathe' and maybe prevent the mist?

The strange thing is, when the screen is misted up the camera window isn't and the camera window seems to mist up when the screen is clear (mostly).  I think I'll leave it alone and look forward to some warmer and drier weather!
