problem with airflow/heat interior

I,ve got the car in for some investigations, problem is that the temperature on the drivers side doesn't get hot, car has dual climate. Noticed that drivers side windscreen was misting up at times.
dealer says that one of the motors that operates the airflow direction was sticky but heat in hoses going to matrix is hot, I will update in the following days.

Okay attention owners especially those who bought the cx5 when it first came out as I did, reference our little problem with the heat and airflow turns out that their is a problem in manufacture of some of these heat exchanger radaitors, in plain English blocked in manufacture hardly any flow going thru them, car at dealers at the moment with entire dash removed any questions please post or send private.

yes car / dash rebuilt today, rad was 2/3 blocked hence poor heat exchange into cabin, just having air con regassed ( orginal gas put back in expensive ) and pick up tomorrow, mazda well aware of problem so its not a one off. At least we were provided with a replacement motor for last 3 1/2 weeks.

Would just like to thank rmvf for this post, it helped to quickly convince Mazda UK that I had the same problem, also thanks to Mazda UK for agreeing to fix this issue FOC even though my car was just outside its warranty period.

There is now a service bulletin to deal with this issue which apparently has a list of VIN numbers for cars that are affected. Having said that my car was not listed!

The remedy is to flush out the old fluid and build-up of crystals from the internal heater system and replace with new. Unfortunately although this should be a straightforward procedure it took my local Mazda garage 2 months to sort it out! Initially they said there was no known problem and that my problem was caused by a faulty thermostat. Then when I got Mazda UK involved they miraculously change their minds. The next problem was procuring the tools/parts needed to perform the procedure; this includes a pump, a length of 18mm hose, a bucket, some citric acid etc.
It took them ages to find a source for the 18mm hose and then when I took my car in and they read the service bulletin properly they realised the length of hose they had was too short and  they needed  citric acid. I then had to wait another 2 weeks for these parts to arrive.

Anyway, it’s done now and my car is lovely and warm once again.

Glad you got it sorted,  we have just hit 20k and no further problems, love the car so much due to seat height space in boot, dogs, that we have ordered another one.

Aha! Yesterday, having worked perfectly before, my 62-reg car stopped blowing out warm air. The air con responds to me turning up the request for heat (26 degrees) by blowing cold air into the car. This happens on both sides.

Does this sound like the same problem with the radiators? If so, is there an official Mazda admission of the issue somewhere? I don't want to go to the dealers and be told I have to pay them a lot of dosh if I can avoid it. I'm guessing, however, if it's a manufacturing fault, it would have been there from the start. Any thoughts appreciated.

Very informative looking through those TSB,s, I stopped counting at fifty, when that new range rover came out it had a heap
