On the 2018 CX5 model when the Cruise control is set, the symbol on the dash glows "Green".
When the limiter is engaged it show LIM in "white."

Yes there is a mode switch and a set switch plus the +- switches for speed adjustment.  The limiter option does indeed limit, press the accelerator as much as you like but you're not going any faster.

Almost correct, push down hard on the accelerator and it will accelerate through the limit, I found that out a couple of days ago.

Interesting, that's different behaviour to my 2016 when I had it.
The internet is a huge dumpster. You have to look hard to find anything useful.

Anyway...I find it VERY useful......I don't understand CX5 drivers who pay for all the technology like parking, radar, limiter, and then say they SWITCH IT OFF!!!!! Perhaps they'd like ABS and seatbelts to be ripped out too.......

Speed limiters were/are ideal in situations like average speed camera controlled motorway roadworks as they allow you to watch the traffic rather than your speedo. Now the radar controlled adaptive cruise control on the latest models has done away with the need really as it slows, stops & accelerates the car for you. All I'm waiting for now is for them to automate the steering and then I can kip the 220 miles to my boy's place like the Missus does, bring it on !!!
